Husking Bee

Sunday, October 17th, 2021 10 PM - 4:30 PM

Nya:wëh (Thank you) for registering to volunteer at our 2021 Husking Bee! This page is meant to give you additional information about this event.

The Iroquois White Corn Project is located at the intersection of School Rd and Boughton Hill Rd (County Rd 41), everything will be happening at this site.

If you are volunteering on Saturday to food prep, please report directly to the Farmhouse. Parking is in front of the old barn across the driveway from the farmhouse.

If you are volunteering for the Husking Bee on Sunday, park in the parking lot in front of the old barn, head down the hill on the gravel path (away from Boughton Hill Rd) to the newer pole barn. Husking will happen in this large barn.

Lunch: Lunch will be served outside of the Farmhouse. There is a wrap around porch in front of the house that can provide covered seating.

What you need for husking: Please dress appropriately for being outside, the barn is drafty and the doors will be open. You may want to bring your own utility knife (used to cut out bad portions of corn).

COVID 19- Most of this event will be happening outside and in the open air, but we ask that you wear a mask while indoors or when unable to social distance.

We are grateful for your help but please do not show up if you have not registered as a volunteer.
